Contract

Havana Boutique Hotels is a product of Big Planet Adventures Pty Ltd (Australia), ABN 15154669360. This contract is made on the terms of these booking conditions, which are governed by the laws of NSW Australia. In making a booking, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept these booking conditions on behalf of yourself and your party.

Website Room Descriptions and Facilities

Photographs and descriptions of hotels and property facilities are provided in good faith. We have used all reasonable endeavours to ensure that nothing in our website is false or misleading.

Registration

Upon arrival to the guesthouse, all guests are required to provide their passport to management. Your passport and tourist card details will be registered in the official book of the guesthouse and returned to you promptly. This is a Cuban Government requirement.

Your Belongings

Guesthouse management will not be responsible for any losses or damage of guest's valuables. Guests can use the safety deposit boxes provided in the rooms.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed in any indoor areas of the guesthouse properties.

Arrival and Departure

Check-in time is from 3:00pm and check-out time is by 11:00am. A later check-out time may be possible depending on the arrival time of incoming clients. Please consult with the guesthouse upon arrival.

Should you arrive at the guesthouse prior to the normal check-in time, you can ask a staff member to store luggage until check-in is available. If you arrive early and would definitely like to check-in before the normal check-in time, you can consider making a reservation for the evening prior to your arrival.

On failure of the guest to vacate by check-out time, the management shall have the right to remove the guest and his/her belongings from the room occupied by the guest.

Visitors

Please identify any visitor you invite to the guesthouse with a staff member. For your own safety, we do not allow Cuban visitors in the rooms without prior approval. You are welcome to receive Cuban visitors in the common areas of the building.

Energy Conservation

Please turn off lights and air-conditioning when you leave the room.

Towels and Linen

If you are staying more than a few nights, please let us know when you require fresh linen and towels, otherwise we assume you are happy to keep using the ones provided to you upon your arrival.

Damage to Property

Please take care of the guesthouse furniture, property, and installations. You will be charged for any damage to the guesthouse's property caused by you or your guests.

Management Rights

It is agreed that the guest will conduct him/herself in a respectable manner and will not cause any nuisance or annoyance. The guesthouse management has the right to request any guest to vacate his/her room or other areas of the guesthouse without assigning any reason, and the guest shall be bound to vacate when requested to do so.

Government Rules and Regulations

Guests are required to abide by all applicable acts and laws and local Government rules and regulations.

Limit of Guests per Room

The maximum number of guests per room allowable is either 2 adults + 2 children (below 12 years old), or 3 adults.

Age Limit

The lead guest must be at least 18 years of age to check-in and register for a room.

Bank Fees

Our prices are in EUR currency, and we do not charge currency exchange nor card fees. However, your own bank may charge its own fees for paying in a foreign currency. We are not accountable or responsible for such charges.

Cancellation by You

If you need to cancel your booking fully or partially, for any reason, you as the person who made the booking must advise us of this in writing, or otherwise process this cancellation via our website. No exceptions apply for any circumstances beyond our control including, but not limited to, war or threat of war, civil strike, industrial disputes, natural disaster, bad weather, terrorist activity, foreign office advice not to travel, technical or maintenance problems with transport, or rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline.

Full Refund: Cancellation made more than 2 days in advance of the first night of accommodation.

100% cancellation fee: for "no-show" and for any nights of accommodation that are within 2 days of the cancellation notice being received.

Partial Refund: For a booking of multiple nights of accommodation, a full refund applies for any nights of accommodation that are more than 2 days in advance of the cancellation notice being received. A partial refund may also apply in the case that some but not all party members cancel and there is a difference in cost due to the number of breakfasts required.

Please note: While we faithfully provide refunds as per the above conditions, if the account of your credit card is in another currency there may be some difference in value due to changing exchange rates, and the commission your bank charges to make exchanges between currencies. We are not accountable or responsible for such charges or any difference in value due to this.

Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel your booking for any reason, although we will only do so when we absolutely need to. We aim not to make any cancellation or changes to your booking. In the case of an unforeseen problem with your room or hotel, we will contact you as soon as this happens to provide an alternative hotel. If at that point you prefer to cancel the booking, no cancellation fee will apply, and we will process a full refund of your payment.
